Like many of you, I was supportive of our school systems decision to have classes today in an effort to make up one of the many school days missed this year. I was absolutely thrilled when my 7 year old, 2nd grade, daughter came home from school this week asking questions with a sincere interest of what being a veteran really means. This included a report profiling a veteran’s service (She chose her Grandpa Gates, a 30 year Navy veteran) as well as inviting a veteran to an event at the school today – which I will proudly attend. Nicely done Tolland Schools!!!
